Justin and Hailey Bieber\u2019s son, Jack Blues, turns one this week. And in the days leading up to his big milestone, the couple has been sprinkling Instagram with sweet glimpses of their little one\u2014including a shot of him in a bubblegum-pink outfit<\/a> and tiny hat, and another of him rocking a lemon-lime ribbed set<\/a> while lounging barefoot in the grass.<\/p>\n

But while fans were busy melting over Jack content, it was the 31-year-old Canadian singer\u2019s latest post with Kendall Jenner that ended up hijacking the spotlight. And who popped up in the comments? None other than Jenner\u2019s sister, Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, August 16, Justin uploaded a moody snap<\/a> from a night out. In the shot, Jenner, 29, appears to be mid-story, hands flailing like she\u2019s explaining quantum physics. The \u201cPeaches\u201d hitmaker is beside her in a ribbed tank and cargos, staring ahead with zero context. In the comments section, Kardashian, 41, dropped a string of red hearts\u2014an unofficial Kardashian stamp of approval\u2014while Hailey, 28, slid in with: \u201cIt\u2019s always Kendall telling a story with her hands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans, naturally, had thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin trying to lock in to what Kendall is saying is SENDING me,\u201d one person joked.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018So anyways last week I had this bussin sandwich. It was like this big,\u2019\u201d another imagined her monologue.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s probably telling him how to cut a cucumber and he\u2019s just trying to picture it in his head but can\u2019t cause it just sounds wrong,\u201d someone else added, a direct hit at Jenner\u2019s now-iconic cucumber-cutting struggle<\/a> on The Kardashians.<\/p>\n

Not all of the comments were lighthearted, though.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis man posted up with everybody but his wife,\u201d one user noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cKendall is always too close to somebody\u2019s man,\u201d someone else added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s more chemistry than with the wife,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, others defended the trio\u2019s friendship.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s funny is Hailey probably took this picture and everyone is writing think pieces \u2014 Justin is the only person that can\u2019t take a photo with a friend and have it just be a photo with a friend,\u201d one person pointed out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s her best friend and they are all lifetime friends. Y\u2019all act like posting anything with another female is diabolical,\u201d another argued.<\/p>\n

For anyone trying to untangle the dynamics: Justin and Hailey first met back in 2009 when her dad, Stephen Baldwin, introduced them backstage at the Today show. Hailey later met Jenner in 2012 at The Hunger Games premiere, and the two quickly became close\u2014Jenner even told Vogue<\/a> during a Met Gala red carpet chat that they\u2019re basically \u201csisters.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Justin and Jenner started orbiting the same friend group in the early 2010s, but when romance rumors peaked around 2014\u20132015 after a few dinners and vacation snapshots, Jenner shut them down, calling him a \u201clongtime friend.\u201d Justin doubled down on that narrative in a Billboard<\/a> cover story, noting his relationship with Jenner was never serious.<\/p>\n

As for Kardashian, 41, her reaction makes perfect sense\u2014she\u2019s been Team Kendall and Team Hailey for years. In September 2023, she cheered Justin and Hailey\u2019s fifth wedding anniversary on Instagram<\/a>, writing, \u201cThis makes my heart happy \ud83d\ude0d\ud83d\ude0d I love you twoooooo \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

By August 2024, when the couple announced the arrival of baby Jack<\/a> with a close-up of his foot, Kardashian was right back in the comments\u2014this time writing, \u201cJack Blues!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! I love this tiny foot so so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Good American co-founder is just as vocal when it comes to her sisters, once calling it \u201cinsulting\u201d when people refer to Kendall and Kylie Jenner as her half-sisters\u2014a stance she made crystal clear on her Khlo\u00e9 in Wonderland<\/a> podcast in March, proving she does not play about her girls.<\/p>\n
