This belief that exercise can be a joy, in and of itself, is why Jennie Brown created After The Barre, an online exercise platform for women in midlife. And now’s your chance to win a four-year membership to site. Read on for the competition details…

After The Barre Competition

For years, women have been told that exercise only really counts if it’s punitive. Brown disagrees. She argues that fun doesn’t mean ineffective: laughter, music and pleasure don’t detract from the results; they’re what make women come back, even amongst all the chaos that midlife so often brings.

Originally launched as ‘Meet You At The Barre’ in 2020 after being voted one of the UK’s favourite online lockdown workouts, the platform has grown far beyond its barre roots. Today it offers strength training, Pilates, mobility, balance and habit coaching, all underpinned by the same philosophy: movement should leave you feeling stronger, happier and more capable, not punished.

The recent rebrand to After The Barre reflects that evolution. Barre remains at the heart of the business, but it now sits alongside a wider collection of classes designed to support women through every stage of midlife. Whether members choose a high-energy strength session, a nostalgic music-themed barre workout or a restorative Pilates class, the goal is always the same: to help women build a lifelong relationship with movement they genuinely enjoy.

Brown believes the fitness industry has spent too long selling transformation through guilt, discipline and willpower. Her approach is different. By making exercise something women actually want to do, consistency becomes a natural consequence rather than a constant battle. Her hope is for all women to discover what her members already know: when movement brings you joy, it stops feeling like something you have to do and starts becoming something you simply wouldn’t want to miss.

Competition closes on 6 August 2026.

Find out more at afterthebarre.com

To see more competitions, click here.

Just imagine if your workout was something you actively looked forward to – not just how you feel…

[278
18,525,135,19,17,1210
post-573240","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-fitness","tag-eire","tag-fitness","tag-health","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-what
["GET
