\n\tHBO Max<\/a>\u2018s Hacks<\/a><\/strong> is wrapping its Emmy run with a big showing, landing 24 nominations for its fifth and final season, the most ever for a comedy series in a single year. That eclipses the previous record of 23 set by FX\u2019s The Bear<\/a> in 2024 and matched in 2025 by Apple TV\u2019s The Studio.<\/p>\n

\n\tHacks also surged past Schitt\u2019s Creek\u2018s 2020 record for most Emmy nominations a comedy series has scored in its final season, 15.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Schitt\u2019s Creek was completely overlooked by Emmy voters for its first four seasons, landing its first four nominations in 2019 for Season 5 before exploding with 15 noms the following year, Hacks has been an Emmy darling from the start. (Schitt\u2019s Creek aired on low-key cable network Pop; it started getting Emmy attention when it got additional exposure on Netflix.)<\/p>\n

\n\tThe comedy starring Jean Smart<\/a> has been consistent throughout its run, landing 15 Emmy nominations for Season 1, 17 for Season 2, 16 in Season 3 and 14 for Season 4. Hacks blew past that in Season 5, almost doubling its 2025 tally with 24 noms today, including fifth consecutive ones for Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series<\/a> (Smart). <\/p>\n

\n\tThe show\u2019s 12 wins to date include one Outstanding comedy Series Emmy and four Lead Actress In a Comedy Series statuettes for Smart.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe overall record for most nominations in a single year is held by HBO\u2019s fantasy drama Game Of Thrones which scored 32 for its final season.<\/p>\n

\n\tHacks is one of several series nominated today for their final installments. <\/p>\n

\n\tStranger Things<\/a><\/strong>\u2018 fifth and final season made Netflix\u2019s Top 10 most popular English series list, currently at No. 4. The supernatural juggernaut also added to its Emmy nomination haul, bringing it to 64 with seven noms for Season 5. The series has 12 wins to date, all of them in the Creative Arts Emmy categories where today\u2019s nominations fall too.<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO\u2019s Euphoria<\/a> <\/strong>nabbed seven Emmy nominations for its final season. Over its first two installments, the series amassed 25 nominations, converting an impressive 36% of them into wins. That includes two out of two Lead Actress In a Drama Series Emmys<\/a> for star Zendaya who is nominated again<\/a>. The show scored an Outstanding Drama Series nomination in 2022 for its second season.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrime Video\u2019s The Boys<\/a><\/strong> also will be looking to add more hardware for its fifth and final season with five nominations in crafts category and stunts. While the superhero satire has been a modest Emmy performer with 12 previous nominations, including an Outstanding Drama Series nom in 2021, it also has a high nomination-to-win rate, converting 33% of its noms to date.<\/p>\n

\n\tPeacock\u2019s well received but short-lived Cold War spy series Ponies<\/strong> got one nomination for its first and final season, for title design. <\/p>\n

\n\tAnother departing series, The Bear, will have its Emmy farewell next year.
