The content is entirely fabricated and made with AI-driven voice and image cloning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Consumers have been warned to watch out for more of these types of adverts on social media platforms in the weeks to come, ahead of the presidential election in October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It starts with a fake RT\u00c9 news report giving details of \u201can easy way to earn \u20ac4,500 a week\u201d before switching to the deepfake of Ms Humphreys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">In the video, it features her appearing to say that this platform would \u201chelp Irish families achieve financial independence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A spokesperson for Ms Humphreys said: \u201cThis video is fake and should be immediately removed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThe matter has been reported to Meta and we would hope to see a quick response.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Public should be &#8216;vigilant&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cUnfortunately there are people and entities that produce these fakes during elections and we would encourage voters in the weeks ahead to consider everything they see online carefully and check trusted news sources.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u00a0Bank of Ireland has warned consumers not to be duped by these realistic looking scams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThis is deeply concerning,\u201d its head of fraud Nicola Sadlier said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe are witnessing an ongoing spate of scams that exploit public trust in well-known figures.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n            These videos are highly convincing, designed to lure unsuspecting individuals into fraudulent schemes.\u00a0\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&#8220;I would urge the public to remain vigilant, there may be more of these in the coming weeks. If you see such content, do not engage.\u201d She added that the EU must confront a growing wave of scams online that are undermining public confidence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cOne critical step is holding social media platforms accountable,\u201d Ms Sadlier said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cBefore financial services adverts go live, platforms should be required to verify that the advertiser is authorised by a recognised regulatory body.
