MAGA<\/a> influencers on Friday appeared to crack after Katy Perry<\/a> released a promotional clip for her latest single, \u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d which included a cameo by former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau<\/a> \u2014 her boyfriend and a longtime foe<\/a> of President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Perry posted the clip on TikTok<\/a> with the caption, \u201cAncient texts say that if you hop to this song you will get 1,000 years of good luck.\u201d While it was arguably quaint and featured Trudeau simply hop past in the background, the roar from right-wing critics was swift and heavy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you doing, bro?\u201d Griff Jenkins, co-host of \u201cFox & Friends Weekend,\u201d said during Saturday\u2019s broadcast. \u201cLiterally, a 54-year-old grown man dancing in [a clip with his] girlfriend Katy Perry … remember he divorced his wife after leaving the prime minister\u2019s office.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jenkins continued, \u201cI don\u2019t know what to say about this other than, \u2018That is weird.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Trudeau previously incurred the wrath of MAGA voters over his strained relationship with Trump, who has repeatedly said Canada should be the 51st U.S. state<\/a> \u2014 and called its then-leader \u201cweak<\/a>\u201d<\/a> and \u201cdishonest\u201d<\/a> in 2018 and \u201ctwo-faced\u201d during a 2019 NATO summit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was not on my bingo card for Fidel Castro\u2019s grandson,\u201d quipped \u201cFox & Friends\u201d co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy<\/a>, the wife of Trump loyalist Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy<\/a>, fanning a conspiracy theory<\/a> Saturday that Trudeau is the descendant of Cuba\u2019s late leader.<\/p>\n

While the former prime minister became increasingly unpopular in his home country<\/a> over the course of his final term and stepped down in 2025 after a dramatic decline in approval ratings<\/a>, the furor over his cameo appeared rather outsized given its length: Trudeau hopped across the frame for a total of three seconds in the 15-second promo clip.<\/p>\n

\u201cFormer Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is jumping around like a clown with Katy Perry. These leaders are so feminine\u2026,\u201d wrote one self-described \u201cTruth Seeker\u201d on X<\/a>, with another person commenting<\/a>: \u201cKaty Perry is dressed like a 16 year old and Trudeau looks like a stalker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Jebra Faushay, author of \u201cUNWOKE: An Unfiltered Escape from the Cult of Wokeness,\u201d voiced her criticism with even stronger disparagement, writing Friday<\/a>, \u201cKaty Perry is dressed like a giant toddler while Justin Trudeau bops around like a retard. Pure cringe.\u201d<\/p>\n
