Last night was Bring Your Wife and Daughter to Work Day at Yankee Stadium. Jay-Z <\/a>surprised the crowd at his New York show with Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> and their eldest child, Blue Ivy. He opened the concert with \u201cCan\u2019t Knock the Hustle,\u201d a song that originally featured Mary J. Blige. While MJB wasn\u2019t there to sing her part, Beyonc\u00e9 stepped in. \u201cNew York City, what\u2019s up?\u201d Jay cheered, per USA Today<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s how you start it!\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 showed the same love back to her husband, saying, \u201cGive it up for my baby!\u201d The show kicked off the first of three shows in Jay\u2019s \u201cJay-Z 30\u201d concert series in New York, celebrating 30 years of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blue Ivy, who danced on stage with her mother during the Renaissance<\/a> tour, joined her father to play piano for the song, \u201cFeelin\u2019 It.\u201d Jay-Z couldn\u2019t have been more proud and encouraged the crowd to cheer for his daughter, saying, \u201cMake some noise for the legendary Blue Ivy Carter.\u201d Jay\u2019s always been proud of her musical ability, telling GQ<\/a> how she\u2019s an incredible pianist. \u201cShe won\u2019t let us get her a teacher. She doesn\u2019t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she\u2019ll be like \u2018Play it again,\u2019 and then she\u2019ll teach herself,\u201d he told the outlet in March. \u201cThat\u2019s just talent. She doesn\u2019t work at that. She worked at this, and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do. I don\u2019t think we\u2019re going to be able to get her off that stage now.\u201d Soon, Jay and Bey will be making cameos at Blue Ivy\u2019s shows.<\/p>\n
