Drivers noticed it was facing the wrong way, pointing right towards England instead of left towards Wales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The choice of a white dragon rather than the traditional red was also criticised.<\/p>\n<p>Lack of maintenance has caused the white dragon, along with a white lion on the other side of the road, to be grown over.<\/p>\n<p>One online commenter said: \u201cIt\u2019s such a shame.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Another said the dragon used to be a talking point, if not a source of pride, adding: \u201cI think we should resurrect it. How about we get together, embarrass our council and get it redone? Make it look good again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the two emblems are on the English side of the border, Highways England is responsible for their maintenance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Welcome to Wales dragon has faced other problems.
