Irish Rail has announced that engineering works will take place between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14.<\/p>\n
This means there will be no train services between Grand Canal Dock and Greystones on those dates.<\/p>\n
Rosslare intercity services will only operate between Greystones and Rosslare.<\/p>\n
Irish Rail has advised commuters that direct bus transfers will operate between Dublin Connolly \/ Greystones and between Dun Laoghaire \/ Bray and Greystones to connect with the Rosslare service.<\/p>\n
The following stations will be closed for train services this weekend: Lansdowne Road, Sandymount, Sydney Parade, Booterstown, Blackrock, Seapoint, Salthill and Monkstown, Dun Laoghaire, Glenageary, Dalkey, Killiney, Shankill, Woodbrook and Bray.<\/p>\n
Dubliners will also be hit with several disruptions on the Luas Red Line this weekend due to engineering works.<\/p>\n
The Luas Red Line will temporarily close, with no trams running between Red Cow and Tallaght\/ Saggart due to works.<\/p>\n
This comes on top of the Luas Red Line not operating between Connolly and The Point due to the damage caused by the recent fire in the Docklands area.<\/p>\n
This weekend\u2019s disruption could impact fans attending Tallaght stadium to see Leinster take on Cardiff in a pre-season friendly this Saturday, September 13.<\/p>\n
These essential works will also take place on the Luas Red Line on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5.<\/p>\n
The October bank holiday weekend will also see the same closures impacting services on Saturday, October 25-27.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Luas said these \u201cessential rail works\u201d involve replacing track at Belgard Stop and the Luas crossing over Belgard Road.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese works are essential to the operation of the Luas system and ensure we deliver a safe, reliable tram service to our customers,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe works will involve breaking concrete in certain areas and repairing the rail.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe workers, vehicles and machinery will generate noise at times. Therefore, it is best carried out over two consecutive days.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring these works, there will be no Red Line tram services between Red Cow and Tallaght \/ Saggart.<\/p>\n
\u201cA replacement bus service will serve the closed Luas stops between Red Cow and Tallaght \/ Saggart during these days.<\/p>\n
\u201cOn these dates, trams will run between Connolly and Red Cow only. Luas Green Line services are not affected and will run as normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buses will run approximately every 15 minutes on these days.<\/p>\n
