{"id":584145,"date":"2026-07-13T22:49:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T22:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/584145\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T22:49:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T22:49:14","slug":"apple-acquires-observability-platform-developer-sigscalr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/584145\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Acquires Observability Platform Developer SigScalr"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The list said that \u201cSigScalr develops a data log management and observability tool\u201d and that Apple notified the commission of the acquisition on March 12.<\/p>\n<p>The commission posted the details on its website Monday (July 13), according to 9to5Mac, which flagged the news of the acquisition in a Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/07\/13\/apple-acquires-observability-startup-sigscalr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SigScalr offers the open-source observability platform SigLens, which helps developers collect, search and analyze logs, metrics and traces generated by apps and infrastructure, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigscalr.io\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> is now offline, and the platform\u2019s GitHub <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/sigscalr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">repository<\/a> was made read-only, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/sigscalr\/sigscalr-client\/commit\/cc01c105dd3887d7addd84be4e36d235a75cd9a1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">archival notice<\/a> posted in the repository, SigScalr said: \u201cAs we focus on something new, the repository will remain available in read-only mode for anyone who finds it useful. If you\u2019d like to fork it, build on it, or take it in a new direction, we wholeheartedly encourage that. We are also changing the license to a more permissive Apache 2.0 license.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MacRumors said in a Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2026\/07\/13\/apple-acquires-sigscalr-assets\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a> on the acquisition that SigLens \u201cwas known for being a cost-effective and fast solution compared to many competing platforms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Apple Insider <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/26\/07\/13\/siglens-acquired-by-apple-for-debugging-massive-apps-and-services\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> Monday that Apple\u2019s acquisition of SigScalr will give it \u201ca tool to monitor and debug the processes of large numbers of interrelated applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SigLens Founder and CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/kunal-nawale-ceo?utm_source=share_via&amp;utm_content=profile&amp;utm_medium=member_ios\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kunal Nawale<\/a> said in his LinkedIn profile: \u201cBy using our self-hosted or our SaaS, companies save 90% on their observability bills.
