\n\tJack White<\/a> made it a family affair during his performance at the Brooklyn Paramount this past Saturday. The musician brought out his daughter Scarlett to play bass during his crushing delivery of the White Stripes\u2019 1999 track \u201cCannon.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe budding artist took to the stage in a black dress and kept it cool while her father rocked out to the 1999 single from the White Stripes titular debut album, which interpolates the gospel blue songs \u201cJohn the Revelator.\u201d Jack and Scarlett also played fan favorite \u201cBlack Math\u201d from the band\u2019s fourth studio album, Elephant.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tWhite, who has a no-set list rule for his live shows, spoke with Rolling Stone in 2018 <\/a>about how he decides what to play on the fly. Speaking about his May show at the Austin360 Amphitheater that year, White called \u201cCannon\u201d a \u201cMacGuffin \u2013 it\u2019s like a placeholder for me to take a breath and let the crowd have a groove for a second and then break into a different song.\u201d He added, \u201cThat night, it\u2019s one of those things I played for 40 seconds and then we went into \u2018Broken Boy Soldiers,\u2019 the Raconteurs song.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhite, who celebrated his 51st birthday last week, is on tour in support of his eighth solo album,\u00a0Frozen Charlotte<\/a>.\u00a0(He recently invited \u201csatanic\u201d band Twin Temple <\/a>to open his Los Angeles show on Sept. 29 at the Hollywood Palladium.)
