Widow pension<\/p>\n<p>If an EPS member dies, the surviving spouse is entitled to a monthly widow&#8217;s or widower&#8217;s <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/topic\/pension\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"pension\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">pension<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Child pension<\/p>\n<p>Children of a deceased EPS member will also receive a monthly pension in addition to the widow&#8217;s pension.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Available for up to two eligible children at a time.<\/li>\n<li>Payable until the child turns 25 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>Children with permanent disabilities may continue to receive the pension beyond the age limit, subject to the scheme&#8217;s conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Orphan Pension<\/p>\n<p>If there is no surviving spouse, eligible children can receive a monthly orphan pension.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Available for up to two eligible children at a time.<\/li>\n<li>Payable until the child turns 25 years of age.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. Nominee pension<\/p>\n<p>A <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livemint.com\/topic\/nominees\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"nominee\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">nominee<\/a> pension is available in limited circumstances where the deceased member had no eligible spouse or child.<\/p>\n<p>5. Dependent parent pension<\/p>\n<p>The EPS Scheme also provides support to dependent parents.
