Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, joins the #MasterChefAU kitchen as a guest judge, bringing her love of food, entertaining and seasonal produce to one of the competition\u2019s most memorable challenges,\u201d the network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Dath_5KD6HV\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=AgmyyAZbPpBqRyBWp7yQ3UJ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The post included a picture of Markle, 44, in all black with food gurus Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli on the set of the reality cooking show.<\/p>\n<p>Meghan Markle (seen above) will appear on \u201cMasterChef Australia\u201d on Sunday, July 26. masterchefaus\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>The Duchess of Sussex (pictured above on \u201cWith Love, Meghan\u201d) will serve as a guest judge on \u201cMasterChef Australia.\u201d JAKE ROSENBERG\/NETFLIX<\/p>\n<p>Paramount Skydance, who owns Network Ten, described Markle as \u201can entrepreneur, humanitarian and passionate home cook\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paramountanz.com.au\/news\/masterchef-australia-welcomes-meghan-duchess-of-sussex-as-guest-judge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">in a press release<\/a> about the episode. <\/p>\n<p>Markle, per the release, \u201csets a challenge for our cooks to create dishes that celebrate seasonal ingredients and the personal stories behind them\u201d during her appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The network also said Markle\u2019s \u201clove of food has been reflected in recent projects,\u201d including her Netflix show, \u201cWith Love, Meghan,\u201d which was <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/19\/royal-family\/meghan-markles-netflix-show-wont-have-third-season-sources\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">canceled after two seasons<\/a>, and her <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/06\/royal-family\/netflix-ends-partnership-with-meghan-markle\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">struggling lifestyle brand, As Ever.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The network that airs the show said Markle (pictured above at a women\u2019s homeless shelter in Australia) will bring \u201cher love of food, entertaining and season produce\u201d to the show. Daniel Martin\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Markle said in a statement: \u201cWhat attracted me to the\u00a0MasterChef Australia\u00a0kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s such a great show,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m just really honoured that I was asked to be able to be here with you and to be able to judge some of these meals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the episode, the contestants will have to \u201ccreate a dish fit for a Duchess\u201d out of the chosen ingredients including carrots, Jerusalem artichokes, Brussels sprouts, celeriac, local Australian honey, macadamia nuts, quince, lemons, apples, mandarins and strawberries.<\/p>\n<p>The cooks will also be \u201cencouraged to celebrate what\u2019s in season while sharing something personal about themselves,\u201d Paramount said.<\/p>\n<p>The mother of two (seen above) said in a statement she agreed to do the show because of her \u201clove of food and love of Australia.\u201d JAKE ROSENBERG\/NETFLIX<\/p>\n<p>Markle (seen above with Delfina Fiueras on \u201cWith Love, Meghan) said she was \u201chonored\u201d she got to be on \u201cMasterChef Australia.\u201d COURTESY OF NETFLIX<\/p>\n<p>In the comments section of Network 10\u2019s Instagram post, some critics already vowed to boycott Markle\u2019s episode, which <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/15\/royal-family\/meghan-markle-makes-surprise-tv-appearance-on-masterchef-australia-during-faux-royal-tour-with-prince-harry\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">she filmed during her and Prince Harry\u2019s faux-royal tour of Australia <\/a>in April.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDefinitely won\u2019t be watching,\u201d one fan wrote. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love watching Master Chef, but won\u2019t be watching it with her,\u201d another fan said. <\/p>\n<p>A third person pointed out Markle is \u201cnot a chef.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst time since the beginning of this show, that I WON\u2019T be watching, first time!!\u201d someone else wrote, before calling the former \u201cSuits\u201d actress \u201cso nauseating!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some fans vowed to boycott Markle\u2019s appearance on \u201cMasterChef Australia.\u201d Netflix<\/p>\n<p>But other fans showed support for her guest judge gig on the reality show (Markle is seen above with Alice Waters on \u201cWith Love, Meghan\u201d).
