\n\tThe \u201cFar Cry<\/a>\u201d TV series is building out its cast with the addition of Steve Buscemi<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tVariety has learned that Buscemi will star in the series adaptation of the hit video game franchise alongside star and co-creator Rob Mac<\/a> and previously announced cast member Lizzy Caplan<\/a>. The series was first reported to be set up at FX<\/a> in November 2025 from creators Noah Hawley and Mac. Exact plot and character details remain under wraps, but the series will follow an anthology format like the \u201cFar Cry\u201d video games and feature a different cast and setting each season.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis will be Buscemi\u2019s first FX series, though the network does air Hawley\u2019s series take on \u201cFargo,\u201d with Buscemi having starred in the original film. <\/p>\n

\n\tBuscemi is one of the most popular actors working today. In addition to starring in \u201cFargo,\u201d he is known for other collaborations with the Coen brothers like \u201cThe Big Lebowski\u201d and \u201cMiller\u2019s Crossing,\u201d as well as films such as \u201cReservoir Dogs,\u201d \u201cGhost World,\u201d \u201cThe Death of Stalin,\u201d and numerous Adam Sandler films. In television, Buscemi has received Emmy nominations for appearing in and directing \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d as well as for his work on HBO\u2019s \u201cBoardwalk Empire.\u201d He won the Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for \u201cPark Bench with Steve Buscemi\u201d in 2016. He has also starred in shows like \u201cWednesday,\u201d and \u201cMiracle Workers.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHe is repped by UTA and The Gotham Group. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFar Cry\u201d will air on FX, Hulu, and Disney+ internationally. Mac will executive produce under his More Better Productions banner, while Hawley will executive produce under his overall deal with FX and Disney Entertainment Television via 26 Keys. Simon Emanuel will also executive produce along with Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Monica Macer, Peter Calloway, John Campisi, and Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. The series will be produced by FX Productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first \u201cFar Cry\u201d game was released in 2004. Since then, five other games in the main series have been released along with numerous spinoffs. The most recent game, \u201cFar Cry 6,\u201d was released in 2021.
