Each will tackle two episodes of the eight-episode drama, based on the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0bestselling novel from co-creator\/co-showrunner Liz Moore.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStarring Maya Hawke and Kerry Condon,\u00a0The God of the Woods\u00a0is a multi-generational series set in the Adirondacks that explores the Van Laar family\u2019s dark secrets, class tensions, and the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of 13-year-old Barbara Van Laar from her family\u2019s summer camp \u2014 in the wake of an earlier family tragedy that may be related. As the past and present collide, the Van Laars\u2019 wealth and influence unravel, revealing the damaging consequences of privilege and the abuse of power.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHawke plays Judy Luptack, a smart and quietly determined investigator \u2014 the first woman one in the male-dominated Bureau of Criminal Investigation, who gets assigned to the case of Barbara\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCondon, meanwhile, plays Alice Van Laar, mother of the missing 13-year-old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFinley, a director with credits like\u00a0Thoroughbreds\u00a0and\u00a0Bad Education, will helm the show\u2019s first two episodes. Tran (Maid,\u00a0The Pitt) will tackle 103 &amp; 104, with Hannah (The Girl from Plainville) taking 105 &amp; 106, and Menon (For All of Mankind,\u00a0Ms. Marvel) helming the final two.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn addition to Hannah and Moore, exec producers on\u00a0The God of the Woods\u00a0include Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty for Original Film.
