\n\tGracie Abrams<\/a> stopped by The Tonight Show<\/a> to perform her song \u201cMinibar\u201d and to chat with host Jimmy Fallon<\/a> about her new album, Daughter From Hell<\/a>. The singer took the late-night show stage, illuminated with a brilliant red backdrop, and offered an impassioned take on the song. <\/p>\n

\n\tDaughter From Hell, out today, was produced by the National\u2019s Aaron Dessner, who also produced Abrams\u2019 first two albums\u00a0Good Riddance<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0The Secret of Us<\/a>.\u00a0Since the singer-songwriter unveiled the album in May, she\u2019s released two upbeat singles about crashing out,\u00a0\u201cHit the Wall,\u201d\u00a0<\/a>and \u201cLook at My Life,\u201d the latter of which became an instant fan-favorite. Her performance on The Tonight Show marks the TV debut of \u201cMinibar.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAbrams told Fallon that the album\u2019s is a reflection of how she was a child. \u201cI was brutal,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI wrote the title track of the album, that song was the last one that I wrote for the album. It is a decades overdue apology to my mom, basically. Sorry, Mom. I don\u2019t think I\u2019m a wildly unique case. I just think the inevitable friction of being a child and growing into yourself and being a defiant person, it can be turbulent. And it was. So this is a thank you note to her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe musician discussed opening for Taylor Swift<\/a> and her upcoming return to tour. She also recounted spotting Paul McCartney<\/a> in the crowd during Glastonbury. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re on stage [and] there\u2019s a section that your friends and family watch from, like the wings of the stage,\u201d she recalled. \u201cI looked out and I was like, \u2018God, what a beautiful moment.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018I gotta go find my brothers and my dad\u2019 and I looked up and it was Paul McCartney up there. Which was so nauseating. I was like, \u2018No, you\u2019re not.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLater this year, Abrams will hit the road for the\u00a0Look at My Life Tour<\/a>, which kicks off in Denver, Colorado, on Dec. 2.
