Throughout the last two weeks, recordings of phone calls made by Young Thug<\/a> during his time in prison have been surfacing online<\/a>. The rapper discussed the leaked conversations on X and in a three-hour podcast interview<\/a> with fellow Atlantan Big Bank, and has now apologized to some of their subjects directly in the form of a seven-minute track uploaded to his X and Instagram and titled \u201cMan I Miss My Dogs.\u201d Watch the accompanying video below.<\/p>\n

The first verse of \u201cMan I Miss My Dogs\u201d is dedicated to Young Thug\u2019s longtime girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist<\/a>. \u201cBaby I’m sorry\/One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,\u201d he raps. \u201cFuck a jail call, I was playing, I\u2019d never trade you.\u201d (Young Thug shared the lyrics in a separate post on Instagram.) He then turns his focus to Drake<\/a>: \u201cTrying to get you, Metro, and Pluto on the same page\/The internet don\u2019t know about it because real n****s don\u2019t say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Young Thug goes on to imply that Lil Baby<\/a>\u2014whose song \u201cDum, Dumb, and Dumber<\/a>\u201d he featured on at the beginning of the year\u2014is no longer taking his phone calls. The track\u2019s latter three verses seem to be addressed to Future<\/a>\u2014\u201cI don’t gotta speak on your name, they know astrology\u201d\u201421 Savage<\/a>, and Gucci Mane<\/a>, with whom Young Thug pleads \u201cN***a, please I’m not a rat\/But that cheese where it’s at\/All the n****s on the case that didn’t take pleas, that is that.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the autumn of 2024, Young Thug was released from jail<\/a> after agreeing to plead guilty to participating in criminal street gang activity. He shared the Future collaboration \u201cMoney on Money<\/a>\u201d in April. The track will reportedly appear on a forthcoming new album titled UY Scuti, titled after a red supergiant star that\u2019s one of the largest in the known universe.<\/p>\n
