He was 44.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor\u2019s restaurant, The Good Front Room, confirmed the news in a recent statement on their <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DavROMloODA\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> and <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thegoodfrontroom.co.uk\/chefdomtaylor\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are deeply saddened to share the news of the sudden passing of our founder, Chef Dom Taylor,\u201d the statement begins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDom was a visionary whose bold, joyful approach to celebrating the Caribbean cuisine of his childhood brought a fresh and exciting voice to London\u2019s restaurant scene. His passion, talent, and generosity touched so many people, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him and experiencing his food.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Five Star Chef\u2018s inaugural season, Taylor was one of seven professional chefs competing to win an exclusive restaurant in London\u2019s five-star Langham hotel.
