A man has died at the Love is a Stranger Festival at Ballyvolane House in Cork today, as garda\u00ed and emergency services remain at the scene.<\/p>\n
The man, who was in his 30s, was found unresponsive in his tent this morning. It is understood that the deceased was a DJ in Cork and was well known and respected in the electronic music scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Emergency services conducted CPR on the man but he was subsequently pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
This was the second edition of Another Love Story\u2019s roaming mini festival series, with artists on the festival bill including Move D, Colleen \u201cCosmo\u201d Murphy, Fixity, Seamas Hyland, Sorcha Richardson, Theatre, and John Spillane.<\/p>\n
Following the death of a man, who was in his 40s, the festival organisers said as a small team, \u201cwe are absolutely devastated to learn of the death of a festival attendee today\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur thoughts are with the individual’s family, friends, and loved ones at this extremely difficult time,\u201d a spokesperson said. \u201cWe are assisting An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na and the emergency services in every way possible, and will not comment further while their inquiries are ongoing.<\/p>\n
\u201cOut of respect for those affected, today’s closing concert has been cancelled.<\/p>\n
