{"id":595503,"date":"2026-07-20T19:08:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T19:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/595503\/"},"modified":"2026-07-20T19:08:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T19:08:16","slug":"shakira-burna-boy-oasis-roll-on-both-global-charts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/595503\/","title":{"rendered":"Shakira &#038; Burna Boy, Oasis Roll on Both Global Charts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/t\/fifa-world-cup\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World Cup<\/a> may be over, following Spain\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fifa.com\/en\/tournaments\/mens\/worldcup\/canadamexicousa2026\/articles\/spain-argentina-final-report-highlights\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">victory<\/a> in the tournament over Argentina Sunday (July 19), but f\u00fatbol fever continues to be reflected on Billboard\u2019s global charts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/shakira\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shakira<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/burna-boy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Burna Boy<\/a>\u2019s \u201cDai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)\u201d remains the biggest song in the world, topping the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-global-200\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard Global 200<\/a> for a second week and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-global-excl-us\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard Global Excl. U.S.<\/a> chart for a fourth week. It became the first official World Cup anthem to lead the lists, which began in 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAnother song that doubled as a musical rallying cry during the competition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/oasis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Oasis<\/a>\u2019 \u201890s classic \u201cWonderwall,\u201d bounds to the top five of both charts, following its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rock\/oasis-wonderwall-team-england-world-cup-anthem-1236293831\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">usage by fans<\/a> of the English men\u2019s team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cDai Dai\u201d is No. 1 on the Global 200 with 43 million streams (up 4% week over week) and 5,000 sold (down 5%) worldwide July 10-16, according to Luminate. It tops Global Excl. U.S. with 36.7 million streams (down 1%) and 4,000 sold (down 3%) outside the U.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe song has benefited from World Cup performances that bookended this edition\u2019s festivities. Shakira and Burna Boy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/world-cup-opening-ceremony-shakira-dai-dai-best-moments\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">performed<\/a>\u00a0it for a reported 80,000-plus fans at the opening ceremony June 11 at Mexico City\u2019s Estadio Azteca. During the final match of soccer\u2019s preeminent tournament Sunday, Shakira, Justin Bieber, BTS and Madonna headlined the first-ever World Cup final <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/lists\/2026-world-cup-halftime-show-shakira-madonna-bieber-bts\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">halftime show<\/a>, also featuring Burna Boy, among others, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., an 11-minute showcase that included \u201cDai Dai.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLooking ahead, can \u201cDai Dai\u201d remain atop the charts next week? In its favor, the halftime show spotlight took place amid the July 17-23 tracking week, on which those rankings will be based; conversely, the final four days of that period will have fallen after the World Cup. (Check back next Monday, July 27, for the answers.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOasis\u2019 \u201cWonderwall\u201d blasts 26-4 on the Global 200 and 21-4 on Global Excl. U.S., up 64% to 35 million streams and 78% to 4,000 sold worldwide. After matches during England\u2019s World Cup run (which ended July 15), fans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rock\/oasis-wonderwall-team-england-world-cup-anthem-1236293831\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">serenaded the club<\/a> with the song. It originally hit No. 8 on the U.S.-based Billboard Hot 100 in 1996. Prior to its new revival, it reached bests of Nos. 50 and 41 on the respective global lists in 2024; on Global Excl. U.S., it has charted for than a year-and-a-half cumulatively dating to 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElsewhere in the Global 200\u2019s top five, Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me\u201d holds at No. 2 after two weeks at No. 1 since its debut in June; Ella Langley\u2019s \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d keeps at its No. 3 high; and Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cBillie Jean\u201d falls 4-5, following a week at No. 1 in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOn Global Excl. U.S., BTS\u2019 \u201cSwim\u201d is steady at No. 2 after eight weeks on top since April; \u201cHate That I Made You Love Me\u201d repeats at No. 3 after spending its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1 in June; and Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cBeauty and a Beat,\u201d featuring Nick Minaj, is a non-mover at No. 5 following two weeks at No. 1 in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tChart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts\u2019 calculations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe latest charts, dated July 25, 2026, will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, July 21.
