\n\tMarvel Studios<\/a> president Kevin Feige<\/a> revealed on the \u201cHappy Sad Confused\u201d podcast that Adam Driver<\/a> has repeatedly turned down offers to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s no secret we\u2019d like to [work with Adam],\u201d Feige replied. \u201cBut it\u2019s a tradition to Zoom with him and then he passes. That\u2019s a long-lived tradition. He couldn\u2019t be more cordial. He is usually upfront about how he is feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDriver already has one Hollywood mega-franchise under his belt thanks to his role as Kylo Ren\/Ben Solo in three \u201cStar Wars\u201d movies, so it\u2019s understandable why he\u2019d be super selective when it comes to adding the MCU to his filmography. Social media is currently rife with rumors about the Oscar nominee being courted to play Magneto in Marvel\u2019s \u201cX-Men\u201d reboot. Studio boss Kevin Feige said on the podcast that no \u201cX-Men\u201d casting choices have been set at this time. He also did not reveal which roles Driver has passed on.<\/p>\n

\n\tIf Driver had his way, he would\u2019ve continued in the \u201cStar Wars\u201d universe with \u201cThe Hunt for Ben Solo.\u201d The actor notably revealed to the AP<\/a> last fall that he worked with director Steven Soderbergh on developing a sequel movie centered on his fan favorite character, only for Disney executives to shoot the movie down.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI always was interested in doing another \u2018Star Wars<\/a>,\u2019\u201d Driver said at the time. \u201cI had been talking about doing another one since 2021. Kathleen [Kennedy] had reached out. I always said: \u2018With a great director and a great story, I\u2019d be there in a second.\u2019 I loved that character and loved playing him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDriver continued, \u201cWe presented the script to Lucasfilm. They loved the idea. They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it. We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman, and they said no. They didn\u2019t see how Ben Solo was alive.
