A man in his 40s has been arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal explosion in Creeslough, Co Donegal in October 2022.<\/p>\n

Ten people died in the explosion, which occured at an apartment and retail block incorporating a petrol station in the village on October 7, 2022. <\/p>\n

Robert Garwe and his five-year-old daughter, Shauna Flanagan-Garwe died alongside fashion student Jessica Gallagher; Martin McGill; James O\u2019Flaherty; Catherine O\u2019Donnell and her 13-year-old son James Monaghan; shop worker Martina Martin; 14-year-old Leona Harper; and carpenter Hugh Kelly.<\/p>\n

A man in his 40s was arrested this morning by investigating garda\u00ed for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997, a garda spokesperson confirmed.<\/p>\n

He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed have said the investigation into the fatal explosion is ongoing, co-ordinated from Milford Garda Station where an Incident Room is established under the direction of a Garda Senior Investigating Officer.<\/p>\n
