The last press tour Olivia Wilde<\/a> endured was highly controversial<\/a> and possibly unhygienic<\/a>. Now, a few years later, Wilde can breathe easier and enjoy her time promoting a project. She told The Louis Theroux Podcast how she was worried she might have some sort of PTSD after what happened during the Don\u2019t Worry Darling press tour, but thankfully The Invite<\/a> has been a healing experience. \u201cI think it did hurt the film for sure because we didn\u2019t get to have the conversations about what the film was trying to say, which was a shame because so many people worked so hard to make that film in the depths of COVID,\u201d she said of the Don\u2019t Worry Darling drama. \u201cBut we never got to talk about that, so I think it hurt the film. It hurt me for sure, because I was so na\u00efve up until that point about the grinder, the garbage disposal that the internet can be. So at this point, I have enough of a perspective on it and that allows me to experience it as a fascinating time. It is interesting to witness a tornado from the inside. But now I look back and I think, Oh, the people were being given headlines without context, and it\u2019s a natural instinct to start trying to fill those in.\u201d At the time, Don\u2019t Worry Darling\u2019s press was focused on her relationship with star Harry Styles<\/a>, tension with Florence Pugh<\/a>, and Shia LaBeouf\u2019s departure<\/a>.<\/p>\n Wilde has even surprised herself by feeling open to doing press again. \u201cWell, it\u2019s interesting because this is my first time back into the press cycle since then and I did wonder, Would this feel quite traumatizing?\u201d she concluded. \u201cI find that the conversations around The Invite are so wonderfully interesting to me, and I\u2019ve actually been allowed to have them.
