Proud mum Denise Welch was front-and-centre as her music star son Matty Healy married stunning model Gabbriette in a three-day bash in Los Angeles this weekend<\/p>\n

Proud mum Denise Welch<\/a> called her son Matty Healy\u2019s wedding weekend<\/a> the \u201cmost magical 3 days of my life\u201d as she opened up about their incredible ceremony.<\/p>\n

The 1975 frontman, 37, tied the knot with American model<\/a> Gabbriette, 28, on Saturday in front of their famous family and friends in Los Angeles. Singer Charli XCX and a number of stars were on the guest list, and in new snaps, musician Matty was seen dipping his wife back while he gave her a kiss.<\/p>\n

Proud parent Denise, best known for her roles in soaps including Coronation Street<\/a>, Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks, and as a Loose Women panellist, has now given some details of the celebrations.<\/p>\n

Posting photos and videos with a group of her friends on Instagram, emotional Denise<\/a> captioned one: \u201cThis weekend was the most magical 3 days of my life!!! I can\u2019t wait to share it with you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tagging her friends, who included her Corrie co-star Sally Dynevor, she added: \u201cAll the aunties together in LA.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the weekend a statement from the couple\u2019s representatives said: \u201cMatty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel were married yesterday at a private ceremony in Los Angeles, attended by their family and close friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple were first linked months after he split from Taylor Swift, whom he dated for a few months in 2023.<\/p>\n

Gabbriette sparked rumours of their engagement after posting a photo of her wearing a large black ring on her ring finger on Instagram in June 2024.<\/p>\n

She wrote: \u201cMarrying The 1975 is very brat.\u201d Healy, who was tagged in the post, also re-posted the photo on his own story.<\/p>\n

The next day Welch confirmed the news on Loose Women and said: \u201cI obviously have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went over to see their friends Charli (XCX) and George (Daniel) in New York\u2026and I woke up this morning to the fact they\u2019ve put it on Instagram.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more thrilled. We couldn\u2019t be happier \u2013 she is everything I would want in a daughter-in-law. I\u2019m thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month Welch said on the Tom\u2019s Hirschsprung\u2019s Podcast: \u201cMatty gets married in July, which we\u2019re very excited about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matty celebrated his impending nuptials with a stag do that involved performing with The 1975 tribute band, with videos circulating online of the frontman singing on stage with the band he hired for the party.<\/p>\n

Gabbriette also posted a string of snaps from her Las Vegas hen do including her being handcuffed and carried on to a plane by a man dressed as a police officer. She wore a vintage white Chanel tweed skirt suit with matching bag and heels.<\/p>\n

Gabbriette is lead vocalist and songwriter of the punk rock band Nasty Cherry, which was formed by Charli XCX, whose husband George Daniel is The 1975\u2019s drummer.<\/p>\n
