A MAN IN his 30s has died after he was struck by a van in Co Kilkenny this morning.<\/p>\n
The fatal collision happened\u00a0on the R693 near\u00a0Arigan Bridge, Cooleshal, Freshford, Co Kilkenny at around 9.30am.<\/p>\n
The collision involved a van and a pedestrian.<\/p>\n
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a port-mortem examination will take place.<\/p>\n
The road was closed for a time but has since been reopened.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.<\/p>\n
Any road users who were travelling from Freshford towards Kilkenny between 9am and 9.30am and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this footage available.<\/p>\n
