Casualty’s Neet Mohan teases a major turning point for Rash Masum in the final episode of Lethal Legacy. With the show reaching its end on Saturday (25 July), viewers will be waiting to see what becomes of Rash’s CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) progress, which, if he passes, will allow him to become a consultant.<\/a> <\/p>\n

However, recently he’s faced some confidence issues regarding his capability to become a senior doctor. While the character is uncertain of his future, Mohan has expressed excitement at fans getting to see how Rash’s journey ends. <\/p>\n

Speaking to Digital Spy<\/strong> and other media, he said that this boxset has led the actors on “a really interesting journey with the characters and the storyline and ending in this really, really moving final episode”, adding: “I’m really excited for the viewers to see it […] It\u2019s pretty explosive. I think fans are in for a treat.”<\/p>\n

He continued to say: “I think it’s really important for Rash because there’s a real evolution of the character for him. It\u2019s a really important point for the character and his evolution going forward.”<\/p>\n

When asked how Rash is feeling at the start of the final episode as he awaits his CEPR results, Neet said that the biggest journey for the character has been his confidence. “I feel like he’s wanting to be a consultant so bad. But sometimes his biggest strength in him caring about his patients can sometimes be a weakness as well, and can hinder him, which I think is what’s happened through this series,” he said. <\/p>\n

“And I think that that working in NICU [neonatal intensive care unit] was such a difficult point for him. And then for him to pick himself up and find the confidence to go forward, and then deal with what’s happening at the estate \u2013 I think that’s been a real struggle for him, but I think it’s worth it.”<\/p>\n

He also teased a pivotal moment for Rash, adding: “I think that is him finding his confidence. I think this is the moment through this boxset where he finally feels like he does belong and he can do it. <\/p>\n

“And even when he’s pressured in that situation, he can step up. I feel like it is a turning point for the character with where he’s at professionally, which is really exciting.”<\/p>\n

As for what to expect in the final episode of Casualty, the stakes couldn’t be higher as Flynn Byron and Stevie Nash are caught up in a huge hostage situation<\/a> when tending to Colonel Jack Bard’s gunshot wound.<\/a> Will they make it out alive?<\/p>\n

Casualty<\/strong> airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.<\/strong><\/p>\n
