\n\tAlthough Baywatch<\/a> is heading back to the beach with Fox<\/a>\u2018s new reboot, CJ Parker is moving on to greener pastures.<\/p>\n

\n\tPamela Anderson<\/a> recently told Deadline she has \u201cno plans<\/a>\u201d to return for the latest update of the 1989-2001 series, explaining that she wants \u201cto make really bold choices\u201d in her acting career after her Golden Globe-nominated performance in 2024\u2019s The Last Showgirl.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo one\u2019s reached out to me. I don\u2019t know much about it. I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don\u2019t think they had a meeting of the minds. I\u2019m not sure what happened there, but I wish them well. It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach. I would have been there anyway. [Laughs] At the time, it taught me a lot, and it gave me worldwide exposure. Everything I\u2019ve done has led me to here, which is a blessing. But I have no plans of going back to Baywatch.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnderson added, \u201cIf my kids were involved, I probably would have listened to them. I think I\u2019ve just got to keep on seeing what else is out there. I get that there\u2019s a lot of really great TV out there right now, but I\u2019ve already done that. Now is my time to really play with different characters. I don\u2019t want to just fill my time until the end of the year. I have options, and some things I\u2019m thinking about, including some theater again. I want to make really bold choices. I want to surprise people. I want to surprise myself. And so I\u2019m trying to do things I haven\u2019t done in the past.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter playing lifeguard\/saxophonist CJ Parker in the parent series from 1992 to 1997, Anderson reprised her role for a cameo in 2017\u2019s Baywatch movie.<\/p>\n

\n\tFilming is underway on the rebooted Baywatch, which sees the wild child Hobie Buchannon (Stephen Amell) from the original series as a Baywatch captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch (played by David Hasselhoff in the OG series). Hobie\u2019s world is turned upside down when Charlie (Jessica Belkin), the daughter he never knew, shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series also stars Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke and Nader as Selene. In a recurring role, Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut as Grace. David Chokachi and Erika Eleniak will reprise their original series roles as Cody Madison and Shauni McClain.<\/p>\n

\n\tBaywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle with Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) serving as showrunner and executive producer.
