\n\tYoung Thug<\/a> has released a seven-minute apology song, \u201cMan I Miss My Dogs,\u201d with verses addressed to Drake<\/a>, Mariah the Scientist<\/a>, Future<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe song arrives as Thugger contends with a wave of controversy over leaked recordings of jailhouse calls<\/a> he made while incarcerated during the YSL trial<\/a>. On those calls, the rapper expressed his frustration with many of his peers and commented on industry rumors and gossip (such as the falling out between Metro Boomin and Drake). The leaks also revealed that Yung Thug had been speaking with other women despite his relationship<\/a> with Mariah the Scientist<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tYoung Thug addressed some of these calls during a recent interview on the Perspektives With Bank podcast<\/a>, but \u201cMan I Miss My Dogs\u201d is arguably his most direct apology so far. As of publication, the song and its accompanying video are only available on social media. On Instagram<\/a>, Young Thug also shared the full lyrics and even tagged the individual artists he\u2019s addressing in the song. (Only Future isn\u2019t tagged, as he\u2019s not on Instagram.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMan I Miss My Dogs\u201d opens with a plea to Mariah the Scientist: \u201cBaby, I\u2019m sorry, one of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet\/ One of my biggest fears is waking up in our bed without you right by my neck.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVerse two is addressed to Drake, with Young Thug mentioning the visit Drake paid him while he was incarcerated (\u201cNever diss you, came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do\u201d) and also expressing his hope that the rapper can squash his beef with Metro Boomin (\u201cBrother, some of y\u2019all biggest hits together\/The chemistry been there\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere, Young Thug pleads with longtime collaborator Lil Baby to return his phone calls; expresses his admiration for Future; tries to make amends with 21 Savage; and appears to ask Gucci Mane for forgiveness in relation to the plea deal he took<\/a> in the YSL gang case: \u201cN**ga, please I\u2019m not a rat\/But that cheese where it\u2019s at\/All the n**gas on the case that didn\u2019t take please, that is that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe last verse of \u201cMan I Miss My Dogs\u201d appears to be dedicated to Young Thug\u2019s family. It ends with the lines: \u201cMade some mistakes, now the game tryna ban me\/They don\u2019t want your child no more, now they tryna to plan B me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMan I Miss My Dogs\u201d arrives as Young Thug prepares to release his new album, UY Scuti<\/a>, next Friday, Sept. 19. The album follows 2023\u2019s Business Is Business<\/a>, and marks his first full-length release since the end of the YSL gang trial.<\/p>\n
