{"id":607954,"date":"2026-07-28T09:25:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T09:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/607954\/"},"modified":"2026-07-28T09:25:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T09:25:11","slug":"love-island-crowns-winning-couple-of-2026-series-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/607954\/","title":{"rendered":"Love Island crowns winning couple of 2026 series \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak have been crowned the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/love-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/love-island\/\">Love Island<\/a> winners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The couple beat fellow islanders Kavan Murphy (21) and Jasmine Muller (27), who placed second on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/itv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/itv\/\">ITV<\/a> reality dating show, with Simba Kudyiwa (24) and Angelista Gunda (24) coming third.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Along with winning the title, the pair won a \u00a350,000 (\u20ac58,482) prize which they will share equally.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Alessi appeared shocked at the news \u2013 and delighted, as he could not stop laughing, saying: \u201cWhat the hell?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Majchrzak told presenter Maya Jama: \u201cI would just love to say thank you to everyone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">\u201cI didn\u2019t think that coming into Casa, I would be stood here. It\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">When asked what they will spend the money on, she added: \u201cI want him to move in with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Earlier on in the final, Yasmin Hadlow and Tommy Stagg became the last couple to be dumped from Love Island by fellow contestants Mica Harris and Samraj Toor. &#8211; PA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak have been crowned the 2026 Love Island winners.
