Or, if you need something a little juicier\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Vinicius Jr snubs Real Madrid return to cast fresh doubt on future amid Arsenal interest\u2019 \u2013 <strong>Daily Mirror website<\/strong>, who themselves say that \u2018Vinicius is staying away while his representatives try to make progress in talks over an extension to his contract\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Which doesn\u2019t sound like particularly fresh doubt on his future.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Vinicius Junior stays AWAY from Real Madrid training as transfer saga rumbles on: Arsenal target skips pre-season return date amid contract stand-off \u2013 with Spanish giants making stance clear\u2019 \u2013 <strong>MailOnline<\/strong>, who themselves say of this skipped pre-season return date: \u2018The expectation in Madrid was that Vinicius could return before the end of the month.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Which doesn\u2019t sound like an actual pre-season return date was ever set.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Arsenal get Vinicius Jr boost amid Real Madrid contract strike plan\u2019 \u2013 <strong>London Evening Standard<\/strong>, who do not refer to a \u2018strike\u2019 at any other point because Vinicius quite obviously won\u2019t be going on one.<\/p>\n<p>But there we have it: no-one outside of Real Madrid and Vinicius himself knows exactly when he is planned to return to pre-season training, so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/alexander-isak-next-ten-premier-league-players-who-went-on-strike-to-force-a-transfer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>the bloke has gone full Pierre van Hooijdonk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vini, vidi, vici<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is also this <strong>Daily Express website<\/strong> headline:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Vinicius Jr snubs Real Madrid return as Arsenal handed transfer conditions\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The long-suffering and potentially no longer existent fans of Mediawatch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/arsenal-crazy-guimaraes-conditions-vinicius-junior-signing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>will know what to expect here<\/strong><\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018transfer conditions\u2019 are that Arsenal need to agree a fee with Real Madrid, and personal terms with Vinicius.<\/p>\n<p>Although in fairness, now he has enacted a definitely actually really real \u2018contract strike plan\u2019, things should be straightforward from here.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Barcing mad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The same can be said for Liverpool\u2019s pursuit of Bradley Barcola, because\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Liverpool handed Bradley Barcola transfer boost as \u2018deal agreed\u2019 for France star\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is a particularly cheeky headline from the <strong>London Evening Standard<\/strong>; nothing in that headline is an outright lie, but it is a tad misleading.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201ddeal agreed\u2019 for France star\u2019 refers to Monaco signing Matthis Abline, he of 45 France youth caps but no appearances for the senior national team.<\/p>\n<p>And that, in turn, becomes a \u2018Bradley Barcola transfer boost\u2019 to Liverpool because it frees Paris Saint-Germain up to sign Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco, thus clearing the way for the Reds to sign Barcola in a sort of backwards transfer domino effect.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen how Monaco signing Matthis Abline helps Liverpool actually afford Barcola, but shut up, that\u2019s how.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oh, Danny boy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a chance that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/chelsea-romano-here-we-go-soon-henderson-welbeck\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Chelsea find it slightly easier to procure Danny Welbeck from Brighton<\/strong><\/a>. He probably won\u2019t cost quite as much.<\/p>\n<p>But might there be a hitch in Chelsea\u2019s negotiations? It seems like the Blues have a completely free run, yet this <strong>Daily Mirror website<\/strong> headline suggests otherwise:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Man Utd stance on hijacking Chelsea\u2019s Danny Welbeck transfer after secret talks\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That would be monumental. All the time in the world for two Premier League giants fighting over a 35-year-old Danny Welbe\u2026wait, what\u2019s this in the opening paragraph?<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Manchester United have given no indication that they are considering a fresh attempt to re-sign Danny Welbeck, who is in talks to sign for Chelsea.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh.
