{"id":609236,"date":"2026-07-29T02:20:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T02:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/609236\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T02:20:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T02:20:17","slug":"paediatric-medtech-navi-raises-6-8-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/609236\/","title":{"rendered":"Paediatric medtech Navi raises $6.8 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Melbourne medtech Navi Medical Technologies has raised $6.8 million to commercialise its\u00a0baby-saving catheter device\u00a0in the US.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The round was led by $4m from ANZ healthcare VC KP Rx, supported by existing investor Innovation (formerly Breakthrough) Victoria and Pacific Chan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navi previously<a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupdaily.net\/topic\/funding\/breakthrough-victoria-backs-medtech-navi\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.startupdaily.net\/topic\/funding\/breakthrough-victoria-backs-medtech-navi\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> raised $2.4m in mid-2023 <\/a>supported by Medtech Actuator and Artesian VC, as well as the Victorian government fund.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The medtech startup, which also has a base in Boston, Massachusetts, developed a vascular device, called Neonav, to help clinicians insert catheters into the veins of critically ill newborns and children to administer life-saving therapies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The capital follows US FDA approval for Neonav and clinical evaluation trails at two leading US paediatric hospitals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navi cofounder and CEO Alex Newton said the accurate placement and management of central venous access devices used to deliver nutrition, fluids and medications is one of the most challenging procedures in intensive care for infants.<\/p>\n<p>\tGet the best of Startup Daily straight to your inbox<\/p>\n<p>\n                            Want to know the latest in startup news?
