Looking back on the film’s memorable journey, he expressed gratitude to the cast, crew and audiences who have supported the franchise over the years.To celebrate the milestone, Pathak shared a special anniversary poster carrying the message “11 Years of Drishyam.” Along with it, he reflected on how the film has remained an important part of both his career and personal life. He wrote, “11 years of Drishyam. Some films become milestones, but a few become a part of your life. Drishyam has been both for me.”<\/p>\n

Filmmaker thanks cast, crew and audiences<\/p>\n

Abhishek Pathak also used the occasion to acknowledge everyone who contributed to the film’s success. In his heartfelt message, he thanked the lead actors, technicians, producers and the audience for standing by the thriller over the last decade. He also remembered the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat<\/a>, who directed the first film.He wrote, “Forever grateful to Ajay Devgn<\/a>, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Kamlesh Sawant, my father Kumar Mangat Pathak, and most importantly, the late Nishikant Kamat. A remake that became a blockbuster franchise<\/p>\n

Released on July 31, 2015, ‘Drishyam’ was directed by the late Nishikant Kamat and jointly produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Ajit Andhare. The Hindi film served as the official remake of Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam blockbuster of the same name. Ajay Devgn played Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor and Kamlesh Sawant appeared in important roles. The film’s popularity led to ‘Drishyam 2’, which released in 2022 under the direction of Abhishek Pathak. The sequel continued the story of Vijay Salgaonkar and once again received strong appreciation from both audiences and critics. The franchise is now preparing for its next chapter. ‘Drishyam 3’ has already been announced, with Ajay Devgn returning to reprise his celebrated role.
