Telepathy is her jam.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tA rep for Weaving declined to comment, and a rep for Marvel did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe casting comes after Marvel unveiled a big Hall H presentation at Comic-Con last weekend, introducing Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider and revealing that \u201cAlien: Romulus\u201d actor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/david-jonsson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Jonsson<\/a>\u00a0will take over the mantle as the king of Wakanda in \u201cBlack Panther 3.\u201d After being the most successful brand in movies, Marvel has struggled at the box office, with recent films like \u201cCaptain America: Brave New World\u201d and \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps\u201d disappointing. However, this weekend\u2019s \u201cSpider-Man: Brand New Day\u201d is expected to turn things around and is already shattering records. Sony distributes those films.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWeaving most recently appeared in \u201cReady or Not 2: Here I Come\u201d and \u201cOver Your Dead Body.\u201d Other credits include \u201cThe Babysitter,\u201d \u201cThree Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,\u201d \u201cScream VI\u201d and \u201cBill &amp; Ted Face the Music.\u201d \u201cThe X-Men\u201d will be directed by Jake Schreier, who oversaw last year\u2019s \u201cThunderbolts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe mutant heroes, at least the ones from the 20th Century Fox films, will pop up in \u201cAvengers: Doomsday\u201d with the likes of Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and James Marsden appearing in the gangs-all-here mashup. Disney, which owns Marvel, acquired Fox in 2019 and with it the rights to integrate the Marvel heroes it had licensed to the studio into the MCU. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDeadline broke the news about Weaving\u2019s casting.
