A Clare bar has been named the best southwest tourist pub in the regional leg of the Irish Pub Awards 2025.<\/p>\n

Friels Pub in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, shared the news in a post on social media, saying they are \u201cdelighted\u201d with the news.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely delighted to receive the news this morning,\u201d the post said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to all the people that make Friels Pub so special. Thanks, Irish Pub Awards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comments on the social media post sharing Friels\u2019 news are full of congratulations for the establishment, saying the award is \u201cwell deserved\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell done Jonathan and all the team – a deserved accolade,\u201d one comment said.<\/p>\n

To many, it will be no surprise that the Miltown Malbay pub has taken home this prestigious award, with glowing reviews across the internet recommending those traveling to Clare visit the establishment.<\/p>\n

\u201cBest pub in Munster lives up to reputation,\u201d one recent online review said. \u201cBeen to this pub many times always great, drink is excellent, wonderful atmosphere, great live traditional music every night over the summer lovely cozy fire in the winter. A true Irish pub.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another reviewer added: \u201cExcellent pub – it\u2019s got a great vibe and it’s a friendly one too\u2026 Good music and good pints of beamish! will be back soon! I highly recommend coming here!\u201d<\/p>\n

All eyes now turn to the national leg of the awards, where Friels could take home the award for \u2018Best Irish Tourist Pub\u2019.<\/p>\n
