Lopez has since deleted the post but not before the internet collectively went WTF?

On August 2, Lopez and his niece went to a Los Angeles Dodgers home game. The Saved by the Bell actor, who is probably better known these days for hosting the daily entertainment news show Access Hollywood since 2019, shared a few different videos and photos of himself and his niece enjoying the Dodgers game. However, one of the videos he posted on Instagram and Twitter was unlike the others. It was generated using Grok’s video AI tools and showed his niece eating three hot dogs and then smearing mustard on her face while he looked on and shouted: “Oh my god, look at you! You’re a mess, the mustard!” Alongside the AI-generated video, he posted the comment “I can’t take my niece anywhere!”

Uhhhh, what a creepy video for Mario Lopez to create using AI and then post…

Especially since the subject is his niece! pic.twitter.com/3hgKxYnUdz

— Yashar Ali 🐘 (@yashar) August 3, 2026

Shortly after posting the AI-generated video, Lopez deleted it. And others online, like journalist Yashar Ali, saved a video recording of the original clip and shared it on social media. Many called the clip creepy and disgusting and pointed out that the woman in the video is his 19-year-old niece.

His most recent post on Twitter shows him boxing and training to scare away his daughter’s future boyfriends.
