Jock Zonfrillo has been remembered in a touching tribute from his wife on what would have been his 50th birthday.<\/p>\n
The MasterChef judge and celebrity chef died suddenly at a Melbourne hotel in April 2023.<\/p>\n
His widow Lauren Zonfrillo posted a picture of the pair on social media \u201con what would have been (his) 50th\u201d birthday.<\/p>\n
\u201cHappy Birthday my love,\u201d Ms Zonfrillo wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur little family are eating lunch in the exact restaurant you would have chosen. <\/p>\n
\u201cTears, plenty of laughter, and so many stories of Papa. Life will never be as it should have been, but we\u2019re forging a new one, and it too is wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n
The post was showered in love from many of Zonfrillo\u2019s colleagues and celebrity chefs from round the world.<\/p>\n
\u201cMuch love to you and family,\u201d British chef Jamie Oliver wrote.<\/p>\n
Fellow MasterChef judge Andy Allen responded: \u201cSending so much love to you and the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Zonfrillo released a book last year titled Till Death Do us Part to help other people find comfort through their own pain and suffering.<\/p>\n
Ms Zonfrillo explained how she experienced grief amnesia \u2013 a physical response to the trauma she felt \u2013 following her husband\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
\u201cI tried as many roads away from the impact zone as I could, and I tried them as quickly as possible,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
