Sokolov will co-write the new draft with Ellen Shanman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBryan Oh is overseeing for 21 Laps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSokolov is the Russian filmmaker who broke out with Why Don\u2019t You Just Die, his 2019 dark crime action comedy that was infused with early Tarantino influences. After writing and directing another Russian dark action comedy, No Looking Back, he journeyed to the U.S. in the early 2020s, he landed in Hollywood as he tried to land representation and work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe made his English-language debut earlier this year with They Will Kill You, an action-horror-comedy released by Warner Bros. in March. Set in a Manhattan luxury building whose Satan-worshipping tenants engage in ritualistic killings, the movie starred Zazie Beetz.
