On many of Billboard\u2019s hip-hop, R&B and rap rankings, Drake<\/a> is the king. He claims more hits, more top 10s and more champions than any other artist in almost every case, but he is always on the hunt for more winners.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Drake dropped three albums: Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti. The trio of projects has produced a number of singles, though the focus remains on the music included on Iceman. This week, two different Drake singles rise to new peaks on various airplay tallies, and in multiple instances, the hip-hop superstar is blocked from scoring new No. 1s \u2013 but with different cuts.<\/p>\n Drake Nearly Scores Another Rhythmic Airplay No. 1<\/p>\n On this week\u2019s Rhythmic Airplay chart<\/a>, Drake nearly earns a new leader. \u201cShabang,\u201d<\/a> one of several singles from Iceman currently being promoted to radio, lifts three spaces from No. 5 to No. 2. That\u2019s a new high for the cut. <\/p>\n Drake Jumps to No. 2 With Another Single<\/p>\n Over on the Mainstream R&B\/Hip-Hop Airplay<\/a> tally, Drake is also forced to settle for second place, but with a different song. \u201c2 Hard 4 The Radio\u201d leaps from No. 8 to No. 2, establishing a new peak at the same time as \u201cShabang\u201d on its related roster.<\/p>\n Young Miami Blocks Drake on Two Billboard Charts<\/p>\n In both instances, \u201cShabang\u201d and \u201c2 Hard 4 The Radio\u201d are blocked by the same track. Yung Miami\u2019s \u201cSpend Dat\u201d is a non-mover at No. 1 on both the Rhythmic Airplay and Mainstream R&B\/Hip-Hop Airplay rankings. In the coming weeks, Drake could reach the summit with either of his current runners-up \u2014 or perhaps both.<\/p>\n Drake Already Claims Dozens of Radio No. 1s<\/p>\n Drake already claims one of the greatest accumulations of smash hits on both radio rankings. He is up to 81 top 10s and 45 No. 1s on the Rhythmic Airplay tally. His counts are even greater on the Mainstream R&B\/Hip-Hop Airplay list. A total of 94 Drake songs have climbed into the top 10, and 46 of them have conquered the roster for at least one period.<\/p>\n Drake Has Nine No. 2-Peaking Rhythmic Chart Hits<\/p>\n On the Rhythmic Airplay ranking, \u201cShabang\u201d is one of nine tracks by Drake that have risen as high as No. 2 and stopped there. Another pair of singles from Iceman, \u201cJanice STFU\u201d and \u201c2 Hard 4 The Radio,\u201d<\/a> performed even better. Those two tracks took turns ruling the tally, with Drake controlling the roster throughout much of July.<\/p>\n Here are all of Drake\u2019s No. 2 hits on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.<\/p>\n Drake Has Seen 16 Songs Peak at No. 2<\/p>\n 16 tracks fronted by or featuring Drake have climbed to No. 2 on the Mainstream R&B\/Hip-Hop Airplay ranking without rising any higher. That roundup now includes \u201c2 Hard 4 The Radio,\u201d as well as \u201cJanice STFU,\u201d<\/a> which previously stalled in the runner-up space. \u201cShabang\u201d has so far only pushed to No. 8 on the tally, though it may continue to grow in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n Here are all of Drake\u2019s No. 2 hits on the Mainstream R&B\/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.<\/p>\n\n
