The record will include the previously released singles \u201cdepressed on the internet\u201d and \u201cborn to lose.\u201d Mr. Peaked in High School arrives September 18 via Republic Records and is available for digital pre-order and pre-save now, with signed CD and vinyl editions also available.<\/p>\n<p>The album announcement comes with a new single, \u201cdrunk enough.\u201d Written alongside longtime collaborator Justin Tranter and producers Oak Felder and Dan Crean, \u201cdrunk enough\u201d is about an almost-relationship between two friends. \u201cWere we almost something, like a star-crossed kind of love thing, baby,\u201d Miller sings. \u201cMaybe you were actually the one\/Or am I just drunk?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Peaked in High School captures Miller candid approach to songwriting. The album uses humor and vulnerability to examine identity, perception and the lingering weight of early success. Across 13 tracks, Miller blends pop, alternative and R&amp;B, foregrounding melody and emotional clarity.<\/p>\n<p>Miller shares: \u201cI think this album is going to be the best thing I\u2019ve ever done\u2026 I feel like I\u2019ve gotten my second wind at this point, and I\u2019m ready to hopefully prove myself wrong for thinking I had reached my maximum level of success and would never be able to recreate that.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Miller has shared the context behind another one of the album\u2019s tracks. \u201c\u2018born to lose\u2019 is me making fun of myself before anyone else gets the chance,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve had successes that I\u2019m incredibly grateful for, but I\u2019ve also spent years wondering what you\u2019re supposed to do after you experience something like that so young. I didn\u2019t want to pretend that part of my life never happened.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>Miller signed with Republic Records in May 2026, with \u201cDepressed on the Internet\u201d serving as her first solo release since 2023. She first entered the public eye in 2012 as a contestant on The X Factor.
