The 10-episode comedy series from co-showrunners and executive producers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/mike-schur\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mike-schur_1\" data-tag=\"mike-schur\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Schur<\/a> and J.J. Philbin and Universal Television will debut on the streamer Nov. 23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBased on the novel Excavations by Kate Myers, the series follows a team of dedicated archaeologists (and less-dedicated college students) as they spend a summer working on a dig site in Greece. Their discovery of a rare artifact sends them on the adventure of a lifetime. Poehler plays one of the key archaeologists, while Laurie stars as Neville, a British professor who loves archaeology. He strives to uphold the traditions of this dying profession and fancies himself a mentor to those working at the site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe cast is rounded out by series regulars Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas and Fina Strazza, with guest cast members including What We Do in the Shadows breakout Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing (Big Boys) and Bonita Friedericy (Chuck).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/tv\/tv-news\/parks-and-rec-amy-poehler-mike-schur-peacock-comedy-dig-1236209522\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previously announced<\/a>, the series reunites Poehler and Schur for the first time since their beloved comedy hit Parks and Rec, which ended in 2015. Poehler is doing more than jumping in front of the camera for her first series role in years, she\u2019s also executive producing alongside Morgan Sackett, Dean Holland, Kate Arend and Jordan Grief for Paper Kite, Dave Becky and David Miner for 3 Arts, and Sharon Jackson for Ocean Avenue. It\u2019s being produced by Fremulon, Paper Kite, Duck Duck Films, Dunshire, 3 Arts and Ocean Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSee below for the first-look
