Since the high-profile assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Friday, lot of fake news about his death are circulating. One such viral post concerns Eminem<\/a> and Kid Rock supposedly putting aside their differences and launching a charity for Kirk that will “promote debate.” Some posts also claimed that Eminem composed a track in Kirk’s memory.<\/p>\n

However, HT.com can confirm that rappers Eminem and Kid Rock have announced no such collaboration. Not has Eminem released a track paying tribute to Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n

Eminem and Kid Rock on Charlie Kirk: Fact Check<\/p>\n

It all started with a post on the Facebook page RAP Devotees. According to the Readers’ Added Context section underneath an X post with the false claim, the page is operated from Pakistan and Vietnam.<\/p>\n

The post read: “Eminem and Kid Rock<\/a> shocked the world when they buried their political differences to launch a charity in Charlie Kirk\u2019s name, called ‘Charlie Kirk: From Debate to Great.\u201d The foundation will fund and organize debate events at universities across the country\u2014carrying forward the mission Kirk never got to finish.”<\/p>\n

The post also included supposed speech by Eminem that read: “\u201cOur political views are different, but when you look at the common ground, Kirk was a huge inspiration to young people. More than that, he was a good father and a good husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

They went viral, but neither the social media handles of the two rappers nor any official statement made on their behalf confirm such a plan.<\/p>\n

Charlie Kirk Shooting Update<\/p>\n

The suspect in Charlie Kirk’s shooting, Tyler Robinson, was arrested Friday, September 12, after a tip from his family. Earlier, his photos were released to the media by the FBI<\/a>, which prompted the tip. After the shooter’s arrest, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is looking for Robinson’s motive.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, multiple news outlets reported that Robinson, was involved in a romantic relationship with a ‘trans roommate.’ They, along with three others, shared a three-bedroom apartment in Saint Utah.
