Revolut\u2019s<\/a> highest-paying subscribers have lost access to a host of WeWork<\/a> offices without warning after Europe\u2019s biggest fintech balked at an increase in the shared workspace provider\u2019s fees.<\/p>\n

Users of Revolut\u2019s premium plans have lost access in recent weeks to some of WeWork\u2019s most in-demand European sites, including in Dublin<\/a>. These had previously been included in their membership benefits, according to people familiar with the matter. <\/p>\n

Revolut did not notify subscribers of the changes, which affected WeWork \u201con demand\u201d sites in cities including Paris, Brussels, Milan, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Prague, the people added.<\/p>\n

In Dublin, WeWork\u2019s flagship location is the former headquarters of the Central Bank, called Central Plaza. <\/p>\n

The changes came after WeWork sought to charge Revolut more for granting its customers access to its sites, prompting the companies to renegotiate their deal to \u201cavoid withdrawing the benefit or passing increased costs\u201d on to subscribers, said one person familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n

Revolut\u2019s partnership with WeWork is regarded as a key attraction for its higher-tier subscribers, who account for a growing slice of the fintech\u2019s revenues.<\/p>\n

The fintech generated more than \u00a3700 million (\u20ac820 million) in revenues from subscriptions in 2025, a jump of nearly 70 per cent on the previous year.<\/p>\n

The London-headquartered group has sought to attract paying subscribers by offering perks such as WeWork access, gym classes, premium dating apps and media subscriptions through partnerships with third parties. The subscriptions cost far less than the amount a customer would pay if they were to sign up to all of the services directly from the providers.<\/p>\n

Revolut\u2019s \u201cultra\u201d subscription plan, which costs \u00a355 per month, gives users three one-day passes to WeWork sites each month, while the lower-tier \u201cmetal\u201d membership includes one pass as part of a \u00a314.99 a month package.<\/p>\n

WeWork cited \u201ceconomic factors\u201d for its decision to scale back access to Revolut customers, adding that the decision reflected \u201cincreased occupancy levels and demand\u201d in certain locations.<\/p>\n

The changes mean Revolut subscribers can no longer access any WeWork site in Paris, where Revolut is preparing to open a new European headquarters.<\/p>\n

Under Revolut\u2019s new agreement, which came into effect at the beginning of August, premium subscribers have access to about 265 WeWork sites. More than half of these are in the US, where Revolut has a much smaller footprint compared with its presence in Europe.<\/p>\n

One person familiar with the negotiations said the original partnership had been struck at a rate significantly below market levels, adding that the price being paid by Revolut under the new deal was still competitive.<\/p>\n

Revolut said: \u201cWhile benefit availability can change due to various requirements, we remain committed to offering our members access to premium workspace solutions and other global lifestyle benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n
