{"id":633659,"date":"2026-08-12T18:46:12","date_gmt":"2026-08-12T18:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/633659\/"},"modified":"2026-08-12T18:46:12","modified_gmt":"2026-08-12T18:46:12","slug":"raheny-driving-test-centre-to-close-in-september-%c2%b7-thejournal-ie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/633659\/","title":{"rendered":"Raheny driving test centre to close in September \u00b7 TheJournal.ie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE DRIVING TEST centre in Raheny, Co Dublin is to close on 18 September, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Learner drivers waiting for a test in Raheny will now be moved to the Killester test centre, which will take over the Raheny service from 21 September.<\/p>\n<p>Raheny test centre\u2019s waiting time is double the national average, with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejournal.ie\/driving-test-waiting-list-times-raheny-killarney-7127816-Aug2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">some learners waiting over six months to be invited to apply for a test<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the closure of the test centre today, the RSA said building works in Raheny are \u201cseverely restricting capacity at the centre and its ability to meet demand for the service\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDriving tests are being moved from Raheny to the nearby Killester test centre in Dublin.
