(FOX Carolina) &#8211; AnMed\u2019s Facebook page appeared to be hacked Tuesday morning amid an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxcarolina.com\/2026\/08\/02\/anmed-launches-centralized-phone-line-addresses-data-security-after-cyberattack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.foxcarolina.com\/2026\/08\/02\/anmed-launches-centralized-phone-line-addresses-data-security-after-cyberattack\/\">ongoing cyberattack<\/a> on the healthcare system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A post was published to the page just after 9:30 a.m. and taken down around 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">AnMed said the unauthorized content was removed, access through the platform was disabled and it is working with the provider to secure the accounts.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote | fst-italic bg-light p-4 border-start\">\n<p class=\"mb-2\">\u201cThe claims contained in the posts have not been verified. AnMed and its cybersecurity specialists are investigating the matter as part of the organization\u2019s ongoing response to the cybersecurity incident identified on July 26. If the investigation determines personal information was affected, AnMed will provide appropriate notifications and additional information as it becomes available.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The post, which featured an image of a character in a top hat and mask labeled \u201cTHE GENTLEMEN,\u201d claimed that hackers have extracted six terabytes of confidential corporate and patient data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the post, the compromised information includes highly sensitive patient files, such as:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and home addresses<\/li>\n<li>Medical histories, lab results, and prescription records<\/li>\n<li>Reproductive health, abortion, and prenatal records<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric, psychiatric, and mental health databases<\/li>\n<li>Sexual assault, harassment, and rape victim records<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">By 10:30 a.m., the entire AnMed Facebook page was no longer active.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Here\u2019s what the full post said:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"AnMed Facebook page appears to have been hacked amid ongoing cyberattack\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/6T2OLGL5IZET3FDHYW3DEHN5YA.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>AnMed Facebook page appears to have been hacked amid ongoing cyberattack(AnMed via Facebook)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">Feel more informed, prepared, and connected with FOX Carolina.
