It is not only a collective, it is a cultural infrastructure built to support frontline organisations, amplify immigrant voices, and mobilise creatives who believe that love is not passive; it\u2019s organised.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMusic has always been my first language. Justice has always been my inheritance. Contra-ICE is where those two lineages meet, urgently, unapologetically, and with LOVE OVER FEAR.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cEvery track, transition, and voice serves a purpose, inviting listeners to move through moments of grief, anger, resilience, hope, and ultimately, action\u2026From beginning to end, it tells a story, weaving together music, comedy, and spoken word from a diverse community of artists responding to the inhumane treatment perpetuated by today\u2019s fascist ICE state\u201d (as per\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/08\/kathleen-hanna-ad-rock-justin-bieber-cover-ice-out-album\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Consequence<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/beastie-boys\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Beastie Boys<\/a> collaborator Mario Caldato Jr., Hanna and Ad-Rock\u2019s cover of Bieber\u2019s \u2018Let Me Love You\u2019 also features contributions from Money Mark, Fredo Ortiz, and Frank Figueroa.<\/p>\n<p>You can listen to the track here:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement about the record, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/bikini-kill\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bikini Kill\u2019s<\/a> Hanna said: \u201cIt\u2019s not often you get to play music with your favourite people while working with a grassroots organisation like Contra-ICE.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are passionately fighting against fascism and white supremacy, which is something none of us can afford to ignore. Mario Caldato Jr. produced our song which was a dream come true for me. Thank you so much to Contra-ICE for making this happen and allowing me to represent what we collectively stand for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It comes as a number of artists have spoken out against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/billie-eilish-speaks-out-after-winning-song-of-the-year-grammy-for-wildflower-nobody-is-illegal-on-stolen-land-3926913\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement<\/a> (ICE) this year.<\/p>\n<p>At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/grammy-awards-2026-winners-full-list-3926817\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Grammy awards earlier this year,<\/a> Billie Eilish spoke about about ICE when she accepted the award for Song Of The Year with the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/billie-eilish-hit-me-hard-and-soft-review-tracklist-lyrics-3756826\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hit Me Hard and Soft<\/a>\u2019 track, \u2018Wildflower\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFuck ICE,\u201d she said, wearing a pin that also read \u201cICE OUT\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs grateful as I feel, I honestly don\u2019t feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s really hard to know what to say and what to do right now, and I feel really hopeful in this room.
