The album is due September 18 on Verve Records. The collaboration pairs aron!\u2019s jazz-influenced pop writing with dodie, a long-time creative inspiration for the singer-songwriter, on a song about maintaining a relationship across distance and competing schedules. An official music video was released with the track.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCall When You Can\u201d focuses on the compromises that come with a long-distance relationship and the patience required when plans do not line up. aron! sums up that acceptance with the line, \u201cI\u2019ll always understand.\u201d Guitar melodies run through the arrangement as the song moves between pop melody and jazz inflection, supporting lyrics about staying connected without demanding constant availability from the other person.<\/p>\n<p>The single follows \u201cNot For A Lack of Trying,\u201d which arrived last month alongside the album announcement. The earlier track is a romantic pop song built around the cozy sound heard throughout aron!\u2019s recent work.<\/p>\n<p>In June, aron! released \u201cShiny Stockings,\u201d a song about lasting love that took inspiration from a pair of stockings and was accompanied by an official music video. Earlier in 2026, he teamed with indie-pop and jazz artist Mei Semones on \u201cMacram\u00e9.\u201d Another 2026 release, \u201cWonderful Thing,\u201d dealt with the fear of falling in love and later received support from John Mayer on his SiriusXM channel Life with John Mayer.
