Stuart Fails to Save the Universe<\/a> has been renewed for a second season. The Big Bang Theory spin-off debuted last month on HBO Max, with the streamer saying it was among its biggest comedy debuts worldwide.<\/p>\n

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe stars Kevin Sussman as comic book store worker Stuart Bloom alongside John Ross Bowie who Big Bang fans will know as Barry Kripke, as well as Brian Posehn as Bert Kibbler, and Lauren Lapkus as Denise.<\/p>\n

The series follows Stuart after he accidentally breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, causing him to be plunged into a multiverse where he encounters many different versions of himself.<\/p>\n

Digital Spy<\/strong> called the series format “genius<\/a>“, adding: “There is also a very special treat for long-time fans of the Big Bang franchise, because with each new world that Stuart and his friends find themselves in, they come face-to-face with alternate universe versions of Big Bang characters as you have never seen them before.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about the renewal, Amy Gravitt, executive VP at HBO Programming and head of comedy series for HBO and HBO Max, told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>: “We\u2019re delighted with how this hilarious, genre-bending show from Chuck, Zak, and Bill has connected with the audience, both devotees of The Big Bang Theory and new fans alike.<\/p>\n

“Along with everyone else, we can\u2019t wait to see the worlds they conjure for these beloved characters next season.”<\/p>\n
