The comic book adventure, starring Tom Holland as <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/marvel\/\" id=\"auto-tag_marvel\" data-tag=\"marvel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marvel<\/a>\u2018s neighborhood web-slinger, has grossed $785 million in North America and $1.23 billion overseas for a grand total of $2.022 billion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe newest \u201cSpider-Man\u201d is one of eight films in history to reach the $2 billion club, joining the small-but-mighty company of 2009\u2019s \u201cAvatar\u201d ($2.9 billion), 2019\u2019s \u201cAvengers: Endgame\u201d ($2.7 billion), 2022\u2019s \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water\u201d ($2.3 billion), 1994\u2019s \u201cTitanic\u201d ($2.2 billion), 2015\u2019s \u201cStar Wars: The Force Awakens\u201d ($2.07 billion) and 2018\u2019s \u201cAvengers: Infinity War\u201d ($2.03 billion). (Meanwhile the prior \u201cSpider-Man\u201d installment, 2021\u2019s \u201cNo Way Home,\u201d was thisclose with $1.9 billion but missed the milestone because the superhero adventure didn\u2019t play in China.)
