{"id":641250,"date":"2026-08-17T05:26:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T05:26:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/641250\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T05:26:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T05:26:22","slug":"stubborn-llama-refuses-rescue-from-national-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/641250\/","title":{"rendered":"Stubborn llama refuses rescue from national forest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">(CNN) &#8211; Camping under the stars apparently isn\u2019t just for humans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities in Larimer County, Colorado, responded to a call about an abandoned llama in the Roosevelt National Forest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The animal was found hitched to a tree, calmly taking in the view.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A deputy and her law enforcement horse were eventually able to get the llama to move about a mile down the trail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">However, at some point, the llama made it clear that she wasn\u2019t going to move any further.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Food and water were left with the llama, and the deputy decided to return the following day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">When the deputy came, back the llama\u2019s owners were on the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They said that they couldn\u2019t get the llama to leave, so they left her there until they could come up with a way to get her down.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After what was described as a \u201claborious effort,\u201d the llama finally decided to leave the area with the owners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The sheriff\u2019s office said it advised the llama\u2019s owners to make sure to leave a note with the llama should something like this happen again.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 CNN Newsource.
