{"id":641282,"date":"2026-08-17T05:57:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T05:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/641282\/"},"modified":"2026-08-17T05:57:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T05:57:13","slug":"angela-holms-late-night-gym-session-with-baby-sparks-debate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/641282\/","title":{"rendered":"Angela Holm\u2019s late-night gym session with baby sparks debate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A mother has been met with the wrath of the internet after she shared a video of her gym session. <\/p>\n<p>Angela Holm, 29, attended a workout just after 9pm earlier this week, with her five-month-old daughter in tow.<\/p>\n<p>The mother of five from the US state of Utah has almost 2 million followers on <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.news.com.au\/topics\/tiktok\" target=\"_blank\" data-tgev=\"event119\" data-tgev-container=\"bodylink\" data-tgev-order=\"tiktok\" data-tgev-label=\"topics\" data-tgev-metric=\"ev\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">TikTok<\/a>, sharing lifestyle and family-related posts. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"poster-img\" src=\"https:\/\/content.api.news\/v3\/images\/bin\/8f3efe556a1228cf24d5310c71100525\" data-sctrack=\"op-poster-img\" alt=\"I visited one of the most viral gyms in the world, and here are my honest thoughts on it\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A montage sharing her late-night gym routine, however, has sparked a difference of opinion among her viewers. <\/p>\n<p>Throughout the<a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@angela.holm\/video\/7671514932629802270\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> minute-and-a-half video<\/a>, she fills up her water and uses a treadmill while her baby sits in a pram beside her machine. <\/p>\n<p>At one point, the infant fusses, bringing her exercise to a brief pause. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe started crying, so she\u2019s gonna join me now,\u201d the text on the clip reads. <\/p>\n<p>Ms Holm places her daughter in a carrier she designed herself and resumes walking on the treadmill. <\/p>\n<p>Eventually, the baby drifts off to sleep while her mother continues her fitness session. <\/p>\n<p>The sight seemingly hit a nerve with users in the comment section. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo dangerous to walk on a treadmill with the baby, WTF,\u201d one person wrote. <\/p>\n<p>Another said: \u201cThis seems selfish to me. Can\u2019t the father watch the baby while you work out?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure this is safe. What happens if you stumble and fall on her?\u201d a third questioned.<\/p>\n<p>Others came to her defence and praised her. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnything but applauding and supporting new mothers, I see. And y\u2019all WONDER why we struggle. I see you, mama and you\u2019re doing a damn good job!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo many negative comments. I think you\u2019re doing AMAZING. Keep going!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In a comment to news.com.au, Ms Holm revealed her disappointment at the mum-shaming. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a mum of five, I\u2019m very comfortable wearing my baby, and I\u2019m always mindful of her safety and positioning. It was simply a way for me to fit some movement into my day while keeping my baby close,\u201d she told news.com.au.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand that people online will have different opinions, especially when it comes to parenting, but I think mums are often judged incredibly harshly for even the smallest choices.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat works for one family may look different for another. My priority will always be the safety and wellbeing of my children, and I\u2019m confident in the choices I make as their mum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Aussie fitness coach <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/maxdimarco21\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Max Dimarco<\/a>, his concern was less about the baby carrier and more about the late hour for the workout. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t really think it\u2019s an issue having the baby in a carrier while she is walking. That\u2019s fine, do what you want,\u201d Mr Dimarco told news.com.au<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I think is the biggest issue here is that she has to go to the gym in the night-time, apparently, and she needs to bring her baby with her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wonders how much of the strain is honest. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has the capacity to set up her tripod, jump back in her car and then pretend she\u2019s getting out of her car just for the content. Then she\u2019s setting up the tripod in the gym,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy suspicion is that she is only going to the gym in the night time is cause no one else is around, so that she can actually set up her camera to film these videos.
