Because they contain added sugar and fruit\u2011juice concentrates, they can actually stimulate thirst rather than relieve it,\u201d Clancy-Strawn explains.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"15\" class=\"css-1ood0zq emevuu60\">As a result, drinking a refresher can leave you feeling thirsty shortly afterward.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"16\" class=\"css-1ood0zq emevuu60\">That doesn\u2019t mean drinking a refresher provides no hydration.
